The campaign aimed to raise awareness of prediabetes and the National DPP in Indigenous communities by sharing real-life success stories and showcasing the vital role of lifestyle coaches. By emphasizing cultural relevance and engagement, the initiative sought to inspire individuals to take charge of their health with the support of the program.

Overview

Kat & Company (KAT) developed a comprehensive campaign for the CDC focused on Type 2 Diabetes prevention in Indian Country. This initiative aimed to raise awareness about prediabetes and the National Diabetes Prevention Program (National DPP) while sharing personal success stories and highlighting the role of lifestyle coaches in supporting participants on their journey to better health.

The Approach

KAT’s strategy centered on a three-fold approach:

  1. Promoting awareness of prediabetes and the National DPP in Indigenous communities.
  2. Showcasing testimonials from Indigenous individuals who participated in a DPP, achieved weight loss goals, and improved their overall health.
  3. Highlighting the vital role of National DPP lifestyle coaches, emphasizing their support and guidance for participants.
The Results

The final campaign highlighted diabetes prevention, shared success stories, and reinforced the National DPP’s supportive role, driving engagement and awareness in Indigenous communities.
